Voluntary Recall of Kozy Shack® Indulgent Recipe™ Vanilla Bean Pudding
Kozy Shack is initiating a recall of one lot of Kozy Shack® Indulgent Recipe™ Vanilla Bean Pudding and one lot of Kozy Shack® Indulgent Recipe™ Salted Caramel Pudding that were produced at their Turlock facility in late September. The recall is necessary because an unknown number of Salted Caramel sleeves were placed over Vanilla Bean pudding cups. In addition, some cases labeled as Vanilla Bean contain sleeves labeled as Salted Caramel, though they contain Vanilla Bean pudding. Vanilla Bean contains egg, while Salted Caramel does not. As a result, some of the package sleeves do not include the required egg allergen declaration. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these mislabeled products.
