sweet-celebration-grapesIt feels like this time of year is all about changes. The little ones are back in school, weather is a little cooler, days are getting shorter, the colors in our produce department are changing slightly as we get ready for fall produce; but one thing that doesn’t change is our commitment to saving you money on quality produce.

This week it all starts with these magnificent tasting Sweet Celebration grapes that will bring a smile to your face and joy to your taste buds, it then continues to the perfectly red tomatoes on the vine that we are carrying and the vibrantly colored belled peppers coming in with exceptional quality; oh, and did I mention that they’re all on sale and priced to move? That’s the true definition of value.

As it’s time for my morning walk through our produce department, I noticed another constant that never seems to change; our love for local produce. Local supports the communities we call home; local gets you fresh produce quicker and at a great price; local has a lot of the same qualities and values as our employee-owned company. So what’s my favorite local item this week?

Simple, it is our new crop of Washington state Gala apples. We put them on special last week and they were such a big hit, that we’re keeping them at the same tremendous price for another week. That’s another great example of value and getting more for your dollar.

Great quality, amazing local produce, your favorites from around the world, savings and real value; those are just some of things that do not change in our produce department, no matter what season it is. See you in the produce department!
