Dutch Farmer Chicken Noodle Soup
Cooking Fresh all begins in the Produce Department!
From our Produce Department: Grab a bag of spuds, a fresh stalk of celery, baby peeled carrots, onions, mushrooms, and a fresh bunch of leeks.
From our Meat Department:
Pick up some boneless skinless chicken breasts in the meat department.
From our Bakery:
Drop by the bakery and get a loaf of French bread.
From our Full Service Deli:
Add some sliced Gouda cheese from the deli department.
From our Bulk and our grocery sections:
Snag some wide egg noodles and a can of cream of chicken soup.
From our Frozen Department: Pickup a bag of frozen green sweet peas.
Instructions: Now the fun begins. Peel a few spuds, chop up some celery, onions, baby carrots, mushrooms, and leeks. Put in a big boiling stock pot along with the noodles and cream of chicken soup. Cook and dice up the chicken breasts, and add to the pot along with a sprinkling of green peas. Simmer and season to taste.
Top off individual bowls with a slice of French bread, add a slice of Gouda cheese to the top, and put under the broiler for about one minute. Serve and watch for smiles!
